EXHIBITION - MANOLO BLAHNIK

Son muchas las famosas que quieren lucir una de sus creaciones en sus pies, y el culpable no es otro que él: Manolo Blahnik, un diseñador español que ha conseguido que sus zapatos se conviertan en todo un arte.

Este fin de semana he estado en la primera exposición en España que este zapatero canario ha inaugurado en Madrid: Manolo Blahnik, el arte de los zapatos. 

Cada zapato de los miles que ha diseñado lleva un nombre propio, eso hace que cada uno de sus diseños sea aún más único...

There are many celebrities who want to wear one of their shoes on their feet, and the culprit is none other than him: Manolo Blahnik, a Spanish designer who has made his shoes become an art.

This weekend I was in the first exhibition in Spain that this Canarian shoemaker has inaugurated in Madrid: Manolo Blahnik, the art of shoes.

La naturaleza de las Canarias ha sido siempre parte de su imaginario artístico. Las flores, las hojas, los frutos de distintos colores han sido una constante de sus diseños y la exposición dedica una sala entera a esta obsesión de Blahnik por la botánica.

The nature of the Canaries has always been part of their artistic imagination. The flowers, the leaves, the fruits of different colors have been a constant of his designs and the exhibition dedicates a whole room to this obsession of Blahnik by botany.

La retrospectiva, comisariada por Cristina Carrillo y coordinada por Debra Smith de Vogue España, estará abierta hasta el próximo 8 de marzo, con 212 piezas exclusivas y 80 dibujos originales, provenientes de su colección privada con más de 30.000 zapatos.

The restrospective, curated by Cristina Carrillo and coordinated by Debra Smith of Vogue Spain will be open until next March 8, with 212 exclusive pieces and 80 original drawings, from his private collection with more than 30.000 shoes.

No sé con cuál me quedaría, entre mis favoritos están el botín modelo ISUK, el zapato de la portada rosa...buf complicado elegir, me gustan muchos....! Y a ti, qué modelo te gusta más???
