WAREHOUSE

Hace unos meses, con motivo de FITUR (Feria Internacional de Turismo), muchos locales de Madrid se vistieron de gala para mostrar sus instalaciones/productos a la gente que visitó la ciudad esos días.

Por esta razón el Palacio Quinta Marqués de la Concordia (calle María de Molina 25, Madrid) organizó un cóctel. El espacio cuenta con un Wine club privado y un restaurante, llamado Warehouse, con un estilo sencillo, elegante y diferente, acompañado de su concepto farm-to-table ("de la granja a la mesa").

Y una de las cosas que más me gusta de este sitio es su terraza, para los días de calor su jardín es sin duda una buena opción, un lugar donde evadirte del bullicio de Madrid, un oasis privado en pleno corazón del Barrio Salamanca, donde está posiblemente el único "viñedo urbano" de la capital.

El día que fui organizaron un cóctel en su club privado, el interior del Palacio, donde nos distribuyeron entre sus salones, y todo ello aderezado con productos Made in Hacienda Zorita, productos con denominación de Origen, cuyos protagonistas son sus vinos e ibéricos (por cierto, uno de sus productos ha sido galardonado internacionalmente, como "El mejor queso curado reserva del mundo 2015-2016 por World Cheese Awards").

FITUR (International Tourism Fair), took place a few months ago in Madrid. During those days many locals in Madrid dress up to show their locations/products to people who visit the city.

For this reason the ancient mansion Quinta Marqués de la Concordia (Maria de Molina, 25) organized a cocktail in their instalations. The space has a wine private club and a restaurant called Warehouse, it presents a simple, elegant and different style toguether with their already well known farm-to-table philosophy.

Also, The Warehouse garden stands, without a doubt, as the envy of the Spanish capital. It lets you scape from the bustle of Madrid and offers you a unique spot, within the very core of Barrio de Salamanca, where a private and wooden oasis is to be found. Besides, it is likely to be the only "urban vineyard" in the city.

The cocktail was in their private club, the interior of the palace, where they distributed us between their halls. They offered us gastronomy, genuine and natural with its designation of origin, where their wines and organic products  are Made in Hacienda Zorita (one of their products has been internationally awarded as "Best cured reserve cheese in the World 2015-2016 by World Cheese Awards").

FUNDACIÓN BERTIN OSBORNE SHOWROOM

Este fin de semana la Fudanción Bertín Osborne ha organizado un mercadillo benéfico en la urbanización la Florida de Madrid.

This weekend The Bertin Osborne Foundation has organized a showroom in Madrid.

Fabiola, encantadora por cierto, nos contó que las prendas (había de todo, Zara, Maje, Sandro, Michael Kors...) fueron donadas por amigos y empresas que quisieron colaborar en este día tan especial..

Os paso varias fotos, próxima vez prometo avisar antes por aquí, mereció la pena...!

Y además...contaron con URVAN, empresa especializada en servicios a domicilio (peluquería, masajes, maquillaje....), donde ofrecían una manicura a sus asistentes...!

 

Also, URVAN "beauty on the go", a company specialized in home services (hairdresser, massage, makeup...), offered a manicure to their assistants...

WINERY: FINCA MONTEPEDROSO

Este fin de semana largo hemos hecho las maletas y nos hemos ido a Rueda, a conocer la fabulosa bodega Finca Montepedroso, invitados por Familia Martínez Bujanda.

Esta bodega de reciente construcción fue inaugurada en el año 2012, tiene 25 hectáreas de viñedos a 750m de altitud, y en ella se elabora exclusivamente vino blanco de la variedad Verdejo 100%.

He visitado muchas bodegas y si tengo que destacar algo sobre esta es su increíble diseño, obra del arquitecto Francisco Varela, cuyo estudio de arquitectura  3.14GA realizó un fabuloso trabajo, el edificio no altera el paisaje de viñedos, su elaboración es soterrada, y esto ha sido gracias a la obsesión de Martínez Bujanda por no modificar la topografía de la finca.

This weekend we have gone to Rueda, to know the fabolous Finca Montepedroso winery invited by the Martínez Bujanda family.

Finca Montepedroso opened in 2012, it has 25 hectares of vineyards at 750 meters of altitude. There they elaborate a white wine with 100% of the Verdejo variety.

I have visited many wineries and if I have to highlight something about this is its incredible design, the work of Francisco Varela, whose proyect & design company 3.14 GA did a fabolous job, the building not altering the vinery landscape and elaboration under soil, and this has been thanks to the obsession of Martinez Bujanda family to ensure the estate´s topography was not modified.

Además de esta bodega, familia Martínez Bujanda es también propietaria de Viña Bujanda, Finca Antigua y Finca Valpiedra (como curiosidad, os contaré que en Finca Valpiedra fue donde se grabó la serie "Gran Reserva", ¿os acordáis?).

In addition to this winery, the Martínez Bujanda family are also the owners of Viña Bujanda and Finca Antigua, Finca Valpiedra (the last one was where the Spanish TV series "Gran Reserva" was recorded).

El día comenzó con una visita a las instalaciones de la finca, después nos hicieron una cata de sus increíbles vinos y acabamos almorzando en uno de sus salones.
 

The day began with a visit to Montepedroso facilities, then we made a tasting of their incredible wines and we finish having a lunch.

En la cata pudimos probar los vinos de las añadas 2016 y 2015.

Vino con destellos alimonados, en boca tiene una entrada aterciopelada y sedosa.

Los entendidos dicen que este vino tiene notas de albaricoque, melocotón, hinojo, cáscara de almendra verde, anís y frutas frescas...pero reconozco que a mí me cuesta encontrar tantos sabores...

In the tasting we were able to taste the wine of the years 2016 and 2015. 

Wine with lemon glints, velvety and silky entry.

The experts say that this wine has notes of apricot, peach, fennel, green almond shell, aniseed, fresh fruits....but I recognize that is difficult for me to find so many flavors...
